From the edge of the tunnel after the performance.

It was a great experience performing in the AlamoDome for over 11,000 people !!!

Here are some pictures I found.
This is from last Saturday at Minneapolis.

I'm the 4th kid standing going from left to right. This is from practice last Saturday in the MetroDome in Minneapolis!

Friday July 19. Day 62

San Antonio!!!!

We rehearsed in a stadium. It was a very long and frustrating day because we changed the Doppler Effect in the opener. We spent 7 hours on it. A total of 6 sets.
...in the end it is worth it.

Then the sky opened up and it poured.

3 of our spectators (family and friends of kids in the corps) had their cars broken into during our rehearsal. Good job society. Good job.

Found this video. Us and the blue devils playing together.

Goodnight world.

Thursday July 18. Day 61

Denton, Texas! The Texas tour starts today!
Found this picture of me from the parade in Provo, Nevada on July 4th.

We are staying at a big school. Their motto is SWAG. Literally.
(Sacrifice will achieve greatness)

Rehearsal was very hot today. Gosh darnit Texas.
An age out brought a pool in his truck for after practice.

The horn doctor was here ALL day today at rehearsal. And as soon as he left, I was cleaning my horn in the showers and dropped my first valve and bent it. -________-
Luckily the horn doctor will be at the show.

Full rehearsal day!!
The pit woke us up this morning. It was very startling.

Lots of rehearsal today. 3 3 hour blocks! We got a lot done. Lots of sun and lots of playing. The drill is getting clean and we are declaring some things "done."

Leaving for Denton, Texas tonight! We will be there in the morning!!! Very excited!! TEXAS

Tuesday July 16. Day 59

Show day! Bentonville, Arkansas!  The birthplace of Walmart! We are staying here for two days!

We are rehearsing at the show site. This school is funded by Walmart.
Check out their stadium!

The show was great tonight. I'm very tired. But what better way to top off the performance than by going to Buffalo Wild Wings!

Here is a link to our small ensemble playing some encore tunes at a TOC show.

Monday July 15. Day 58

I'm in Illinois today. Right on the southern border and close to St. Louis. We have a show in Lebanon, IL tonight.

Okay I'm sure there must be some personal background history that has to go with this mascot. But in reality, it's hilarious.

The 5 hour block was really terrible to live through. It was really humid and hot. All of my sunscreen dripped off of my skin by the end of the first hour. The entire time I was literally dripping with sweat. We only had breakfast this morning and then the 5 hour block happened. The run through was exhausting. Have you ever been driving and then sort of snap back into reality and not remember that you were driving for a few minutes? During the run through I could have been run over by 8 trucks and I wouldn't have known it afterwards. Oh wait. I did get run over by 8 trucks. Because that's how hard the run through was. Hah.

We got better today.

Fantastic show tonight. The announcer only had 1 job, and he failed. He pronounced all three of our drum majors' names wrongs. And after the show, he pronounced our director's name wrong. That's 0-4! Impossible you say? I think not.

Crown is great and all. But those flights take a toll on us.
And that's what I have to say to that.
